my cat’s been shedding so much more than usual and it’s kinda stressing me out… like i know cats shed but this feels different. fur all over the place, and she’s been scratching more too. anyone else dealt with this? wondering if it’s food, stress, or something worse. not sure if i should be worried or just chill 
yep, my cat went through a shedding phase last month… turned out it was stress from a new pet in the house. once things settled, the shedding slowed down.

interesting… mine’s been hiding more lately and not eating much. could be stress too?

definitely sounds like it. try giving her a quiet spot to chill—helped mine calm down big time.
could be allergies… my cat sheds more when she reacts to dust or food stuff. vet gave us special food that helped a lot.

what kind of allergy food did you switch to? asking coz i think mine might have a food allergy too.

the vet gave us a hypoallergenic one—forgot the name but it’s prescription-only. def check with yours.
don’t forget to brush them regularly. it helps a lot with the loose fur, especially when they’re shedding extra during spring and summer.

good point—i’ve been kinda slacking on brushing lately tbh i’ll try getting back to it daily.
might be fleas… when my cat had them, she scratched non-stop and fur was everywhere. vet gave us treatment that worked fast.

flea stuff is usually more intense—also look out for little black dots on her fur or red skin patches.
also just fyi… cats normally shed more when seasons change. mine always turns into a fluff bomb in spring lol.

lol yeah could be that too now that i think about it. didn’t realize seasons mess with their fur that much.
