I’ve been wanting to watch some good dog movies and IDK where to start. I love movies that really show the bond between humans and their dogs. Any must-watch ones? Preferably something with adventure, friendship, or just a feel-good story. Lmk what you guys think!
101 Dalmatians (1996) is a classic. It’s a live-action remake of the animated version and has a great story. Just FYI, if you’re thinking of getting a Dalmatian, they need a lot of exercise.

Wait, why do Dalmatians need extra exercise?
@Xian
They’re a working breed, so they have a ton of energy. If they don’t get enough mental and physical stimulation, they can get bored and destructive.
Air Bud (1997) is another good one! A Golden Retriever that plays basketball… what’s not to love? It’s based on a true story too.

No way, that actually happened?

Yup, the dog’s name was Air Buddy. He legit knew how to play basketball and everything.
If you’re ready for an emotional rollercoaster, Marley & Me (2008) is a must-watch. It’s about a couple and their Labrador, Marley, over 14 years. Fair warning tho… it’s a tearjerker.

Oof, does it have a sad ending?
@Pippin
Yeah… Marley passes away at the end. So if you’re watching with kids, just be prepared.
The Fox and the Hound (1981) is underrated. It’s about a fox and a hound that grow up as friends, but society kinda forces them to be enemies. Super deep for a kids’ movie.

Sounds like a nature vs. nurture kinda thing?
@Addison
Exactly. It really explores how external influences shape friendships. Pretty heavy for an animated film tbh.
If you want something more fun, The Secret Life of Pets (2016) is hilarious. It imagines what pets do when we’re not home. Super entertaining!

Oh yeah, that movie was wild. Loved the Flushed Pets crew lmao.
@Leo
Right?? They were like this gang of rebel pets that hate humans .
