I’ve always heard that cats hate water, but apparently some can actually swim? Like, tigers love water, but what about regular house cats? Are there certain breeds that enjoy it more? Just wondering if anyone has tried getting their cat into the water.
Yeah, some breeds are into it! Maine Coons, Bengals, Turkish Vans… they don’t mind water as much.

They have this special water-resistant coat. So they don’t get soaked like other cats!

If you ever try it, make sure you supervise and go slow. Some cats can freak out in water.

Yeah, and dry them off well after! Their ears can get infections if they stay wet too long.
If your cat is curious, you can try introducing them to water gradually. Life vest helps too!

Haha yeah, it exists! Helps them feel safe if they’re not natural swimmers.
Honestly, even if a cat CAN swim, doesn’t mean they should. Always good to be careful around pools.
