I lost Jz, my 2 year old kitty daughter, two days ago due to FIP (or possibly due to the side effects of the medication used to treat it). I don’t have a clear answer. I couldn’t afford the treatment and had been delaying it for months. I have another paralyzed cat who I invested all my little resources into. For her, I didn’t even look up information online because people around me always said that researching illnesses only disturbed my peace and that doctors had the real answers. But doctors let me down, hiding important details about the illness, the risks, and cheaper treatment options.
In the end, I feel responsible. I’m consumed by guilt, and maybe it’s justified. I believe it’s a lesson for my shortcomings. I want to find a way to talk to her, to tell her how much she means to me and how much I love her. Has anyone had an experience communicating with a deceased pet? Please share your stories or any methods you used to connect… I’m willing to try anything to reach her.
I don’t know your beliefs, but if you have any spiritual views, try looking into rituals for connecting with the deceased. If it were me, I’d use my tarot cards to try to communicate. Making a memorial might help too.
But remember, you were her whole world. I’m sure she knew you loved her and never held anything against you. Cats don’t have vengeful feelings.

For anyone downvoting my comment or the other responses – if you don’t share beliefs about an afterlife, don’t interfere with people’s ways of grieving. It’s not your place.
I’ve had similar experiences, though never on purpose. Your cat knows you didn’t mean to cause pain. When my horse passed, I heard his call, but I knew he was gone and there were no horses around. It was strange but comforting.
I also had moments with my geckos, feeling them sitting on me even after they were gone. There have been other times too, but that’s the most vivid one.
I use a bone-throwing kit I made myself, complete with my own designed mat. It’s my favorite way of divination. After my dog passed, I asked questions using the kit, and I really felt connected to him. Sometimes I still feel his presence, like when he used to curl up in my arms while I was asleep. I occasionally feel that comfort now.
I saw a medium after my 15-year-old dog went missing. I knew he had gone off to die, but not finding him or having closure was so hard.
I’m not really into that kind of thing and usually skeptical, but she knew so much that I was sure she was telling the truth. It made me feel so much better, and it was worth it for me.

Is she online? I’m interested because my cat disappeared, and we never found out what happened. We live in a farming area, and he wasn’t friendly with strangers, so he wasn’t taken. I worry he might have wandered too far or something happened. I just want to know how he is. Thanks
