How can I be a more environmentally responsible pet parent?

Hey everyone! I’ve been thinking about making my pet parenting a bit more eco-friendly. I love my furry friend, but I also want to make sure I’m not contributing to the planet’s problems. I found a few tips on how to be a more responsible pet parent, like eco-friendly playtime, food, and potty breaks. Anyone else here trying to make their pet routine more green? I’d love to hear your ideas!

I’ve been trying to do this too! For playtime, I started using old t-shirts to make tug-of-war toys. It’s fun and keeps things out of the trash.

That’s such a good idea! I never thought about using old t-shirts. I’ll try that next time!

I switched to biodegradable poop bags, and it feels so much better than using the regular plastic ones that take forever to break down.

I didn’t even know there were biodegradable bags! I’ll look for those next time I’m out. Thanks for the tip!

I’ve been making my own pet treats with ingredients from home. It’s super simple, and I don’t have to throw away bags every time!

Definitely! You can mix peanut butter, oats, and pumpkin for a dog-friendly treat. Super easy and my pup loves them.

For cat parents, there’s compostable litter that’s way better for the environment than regular stuff. Definitely worth checking out.

I’ve never heard of compostable litter! Where can I get it?

I found it at my local pet store. They also sell it online, so you could check there too!

I didn’t realize how much waste pet food creates! I started buying in bulk, and it’s definitely helping reduce packaging waste.

I do the same! It’s so much better than dealing with all those cans and bags. Plus, I can use my own containers.
