Just got a black puppy, and I’m struggling to pick a name. I want something cool, maybe a little unique, but not too crazy. Thinking about Shadow, Onyx, or maybe something from mythology? Any suggestions?

Nyx was literally the personification of night in Greek mythology. Pretty fitting for a black pup!
If you want unique, how about Kuro? It means ‘black’ in Japanese. Sounds sleek.

Kuro is interesting! Never heard it before. Wonder how it sounds when calling the dog lol.
Classic names like Midnight or Raven always work well for black dogs.

Raven is a great pick. Works for both male and female dogs too.
If you’re into space themes, Nova or Jett would be awesome. Jett comes from ‘jet black,’ so it fits perfectly.

I actually love space-related names! Nova sounds pretty cool, might add that to the list.

Oreo is cute! But I think it fits better if the dog has white spots or markings.
