What are some grain and legume free ingredients for homemade dog food?

I’m looking to add some new ingredients to my homemade dog food. Any ideas for ingredients that aren’t grains or legumes, but would go well with the meat, veggies, carbs, and fats I already use? So far, I’ve been adding things like pumpkin, squash, pumpkin seeds, broccoli, carrots, shiitake mushrooms, cashew butter, bananas, blueberries, and recently I added fish oil (though my dog’s stomach isn’t quite used to it yet, so she’s had a slightly loose stool).

I’m hoping to find some new things to give her extra calories and help her gut. Would love to hear from others who are making their own dog food! Just to clarify, I respect commercial dog food, but I’m looking for ingredient suggestions—not lectures. I use BalanceIt to help me with the balance of nutrients, so I’m not necessarily looking for free meal plans, just some fresh ideas. Cheers!

You could try adding sweet potatoes for extra carbs or some coconut oil for healthy fats. A little bit of plain yogurt might also help with her digestion.
