What Do Pet Owners Think About Spot Pet Insurance?

Does anyone know if Spot pet insurance covers past wellness exams or vaccines? I understand they don’t cover pre-existing conditions, but I’m considering getting insurance for my dog. I got a puppy about two months ago and had all her vaccines and exams done. I want to know if they cover those past wellness visits or if getting vaccines before signing up counts as a pre-existing condition

Yes, they do cover that. They have a gold package and a platinum add-on that includes wellness visits. The gold package probably makes the most sense. My sister has it, and she’s really happy with their service

With Spot Pet Insurance, once you enroll, there’s a waiting period, so anything done before that waiting period can’t be submitted for reimbursement.

Most pet insurance companies have a waiting period of about three weeks. Spot’s coverage for pre-existing conditions starts a few days after you enroll, while other coverage aspects kick in after a few weeks. A friend of mine who’s a vet tech mentioned that this is pretty standard for pet insurance.

Anything you pay for before getting pet insurance won’t be reimbursed. Just something to keep in mind
