sooo I just noticed my cat has these tiny white flakes in her fur… kinda looks like dandruff? idk if it’s normal or something serious. her skin looks a bit dry too, but she’s still acting normal otherwise. anyone else dealt with this? is it like… a vet thing or can I fix it at home?
yeah that’s probably cat dandruff. my guy had it last winter and it turned out his skin was just super dry

same here! dry air was the issue for mine. i added a humidifier and boom, way better skin.

just a basic one from the supermarket lol. nothing fancy, just enough to stop the air from being desert-dry 
could be diet related too. if she’s eating only dry food, maybe try mixing in some wet food for more moisture?

oh dang, she’s def mostly on dry kibble. didn’t think about that. i’ll grab some canned stuff and see if it helps!

also make sure she drinks enough water. cats aren’t always great at that lol
you might wanna brush her more often too. helps get rid of the buildup under her fur and keeps the skin healthy.

just don’t overdo it with baths. too many can dry them out even worse.
watch out for other stuff too like fleas or ringworm. sometimes parasites can cause dandruff too.

yup! if she’s got itching, hair loss or redness, prob worth having the vet check for those things.

nah, they’re diff. dander is normal and microscopic. dandruff is like visible flakes and usually means dry or irritated skin.
