@Vann
It’s designed specifically for rodents, with minimal impact on other animals.
@Vann
Same thing happens with pets that have been euthanized.

Exactly, this is one of the reasons why rat poison can be so harmful. It doesn’t just affect the rats.
They banned rat poison where I live, but now rats are everywhere in the city.
@Val
Palomine bars work great. Last winter, I caught 47 rats at a farm!
@Vann
Everyone, please use traps instead of poison. Let’s protect other animals in the food chain.
It’s not certain, but there’s hope if they can pump his stomach soon enough.

My lab ate all sorts of dangerous stuff and pulled through. She even ate a bottle of Advil once! I know what you’re going through. Hope your dog is okay.
@Rohan
Our mini-poodle loves to eat strange things too. Dogs can be so unpredictable.

My mix ate my AirPods—twice! Luckily, he didn’t eat the batteries. I had to watch him carefully until I found them under the couch.
@Rohan
Our Yorkie ate a giant crunch bar once. He was sick for days but survived and is still going strong at 15!

My Chihuahua ate brownies once and got very sick. Chocolate is like a magnet for him.
@Gale
Our cat used to bring him all sorts of forbidden treats. Pets can be such a handful!
Sending good vibes your way! I’ve heard Irish Spring soap can help keep mice away. It might be worth a try instead of poison.

Totally agree. Poison ends up hurting other animals in the food chain. Hope your dog gets better!
@Beckett
Especially birds of prey, they’re very vulnerable.
@Beckett
We had mice once, and two young cats solved the problem fast without any poison.
I’m so sorry and hope your dog recovers. Please avoid rat poison if you can. It’s dangerous not just for rats but for any animal that might eat a poisoned rat.
I’m a vet tech, and I know how tough this is. The vet is doing all they can, and it’s a good sign that your dog vomited most of it. Big dogs sometimes handle poison better. Keep us posted, I’ll be thinking of you all.
@Sloane
We’re a wreck. We paid $4,000 to keep him in ICU. They said his odds aren’t great, but we’re trying everything.
