Only if the homeowner actually says, ‘Sure, toss it in.’ Otherwise, I’m taking it home.
Haha, sounds like we both have friendly neighbors who don’t mind.

Maybe bring up public bins with your local council?
Not my neighbor’s problem. It’s my dog’s poop, so I carry it home. Public bins are fair game though.
In my city, loose bags count as ‘unbagged waste,’ which can get a fine. I just take it home, and yeah, bagged poop still smells.
I clip the bag to the leash and put it in a small outdoor can I keep at home.
Personally, I’d rather you toss it in my bin than leave it in the yard. Didn’t realize people felt so strongly about this!
I just carry it home. Simple as that.
I wouldn’t use a neighbor’s bin without asking, but it’s nice that some neighbors are okay with it.
I’d prefer if someone tossed it in my bin rather than left it out. One time a bag ripped, and it ended up all over me. Learned my lesson!

Wouldn’t your neighbor find it gross if it smears in their bin? Better to take it home.
